Where Love, Play & Purpose Come to Life
Handmade in Peru by women artisans, our toys inspire joy in children and empower the communities that create them.
After the passing of her father, founder Nubia Echevarria returned to her family’s homeland of Peru seeking healing and connection to her roots. In the Andean city of Huancayo — known for its rich artisan traditions — she met talented women with incredible skill but few opportunities.
The Monkey Project was born from that moment: to create joyful, meaningful toys while empowering women artisans with fair-wage work and purpose.
Every toy begins with the skilled hands of Peruvian women — mothers and grandmothers who bring patience, pride, and artistry to every stitch. Through fair-wage partnerships and supportive communities, their craft becomes a source of stability, confidence, and joy.
Each handmade toy represents love in action — blending craftsmanship, care, and purpose. Our mission is simple: to make playtime meaningful for children and life more sustainable for the women who make them.
Crafted by skilled Peruvian artisans using time-honored techniques passed through generations.
Made from premium, child-safe materials built to last through years of play.
Your support empowers women artisans and strengthens their communities.
